Sex worker, San Salvador

We live in a strange era. The idea of identity, once fixed at birth through class, gender and other variables, is now a something that we construct ourselves. We live in the great age of gender exploration, hence so many endless discussions about gay marriage, adoption and rights. People say that those who oppose gay marriage will eventually be looked upon in the same negative light as segregationists. I'm not so sure. A friend, who only has sex with men, says he has no idea why homosexuals would want to be saddled with the burden of marriage. The prejudice against "gay marriage," in other words, serves as a kind of freedom and a rupture of the family, which is perhaps the most corrupted institution in all of society. I don't have any answers. All I know is that my photographs of transvestites are the most popular ones on my blog, and that most of the people who look at these pictures live in Texas. You can draw your own conclusions about Texas based on that fact. I won't.
